The OAD 2025 Report is 185 A4 pages long, with numerous graphs and images. It is structured into 8 Chapters (141 A4 pages) with the analysis of the data emerging from the survey and 8 Appendices (44 A4 pages). Chapter 8 contains the data provided and commented on by the Italian Postal and Cybersecurity Police. Chapters 1 and 1bis of the Report provide the Executive Summary in Italian and English.
This year, the focus of the OAD 2025 survey was on analyzing attacks on:
- Artificial Intelligence-based systems
- Websites
- Operational Technology (OT) environments
The report provides an in-depth analysis of the national and international context, with references to the most recent documents from:
- World Economic Forum
- ENISA – European Cybersecurity Agency
- ACN – National Cybersecurity Agency
- Italian Postal Police and Cybersecurity Service, which provided the data and text for Chapter 8 of the Report on Computer Crime in Italy

In Italy, OAD is the only independent and authoritative online survey on attacks (and digital security measures adopted) against the IT systems of private and public companies operating in Italy. OAD does not predetermine a specific pool of respondents, which has remained the same over the years, but rather allows anyone interested in and involved in managing a company's IT system full and free access to the online questionnaire, completely anonymously. Given the number of responses collected and their distribution among companies of various sizes and sectors, the OAD survey captures the phenomenon of intentional digital attacks in Italy and the security measures in place. It also includes small and very small companies, which constitute the vast majority in Italy.
